To Our Rockmere Lodge Family,

It’s hard to believe another season is coming to a close, our 21st.  Even harder is the fact that we are in the middle of the fall already!  Where does the time go?

Before we get into what is happening at Rockmere Lodge and the Town of Ogunquit, let us take the time to thank each and every one of you for choosing us as the place to stay while on your vacation.

As always we are thankful for all our friends who return each and every year.  About 80% of our guests are repeat friends who call Rockmere Lodge their home away from home.  We thank you and to our new friends we made this year a great big welcome and thank you also.

This year marked a lot of milestones for our guests, e.g. 20, 15, 10 years with us.  Wow, again where have the years gone?

We were happy that all the improvements were met with positive approval.  We are already planning for next year, expanding and replanting the gardens.  Don’t forget folks, it’s a long, long winter here in Maine.

Now to the present.  Don’t forget that we are open year round and we would love to see you again.  Still rooms open for Thanksgiving and also the first weekend in December (Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport and Christmas-by-the-Sea in Ogunquit).  We are full for the second weekend in December (Christmas-by-the-Sea).

During the month of October on Monday through Thursday, Your Body Works massage and spa is offering a special in conjunction with your reservation at Rockmere Lodge.

Make a reservation at Rockmere Lodge and for an additional $90 per person, get a Swedish massage and express Facial at Your Body Works.

Must call 1-888-646-2985 and mention code M10 to receive discount.
New reservations only.
Rockmere Lodge and Your Body Works are both celebrating 21 years in business.

And if you are looking for a quiet way to welcome 2014, then maybe Rockmere Lodge by the sea may be the place to be on New Year’s Eve?

In January, we start our specials on Monday through Thursday when all rooms are $100 per night, DO, except holiday weeks (a $45 saving each night).  Watch our webpage for these and any other specials.  Please note you must call us on the phone to take advantage of our specials.  You cannot book these on-line.  If you book on-line we cannot change or back out the reservation.  We are sorry about that.  Also this applies to new reservations only, not any currently in our system.

Doug will be trying out new recipes for 2014 and trying to decide which one to submit for the new cookbook coming out in 2013.  We also thank those of you who purchased the 2013 cookbook.  (We still have a couple left at $12.98 plus $3.00 shipping).  The Ogunquit-Wells High School Scholarship Fund thanks you also.

For those romantics out there, don’t forget Valentine’s Day.  It falls on the Thursday before the three day President’s Day holiday weekend.  By then we should have put out another newsletter with any current updates.

Bob will soon leave for sunny Florida (October 25th) and complain when the temperature drops below 60 while Doug and Andy are salting, sanding, shoveling and plowing!

Another big thank you to those who left money in the envelope in your rooms.  All the little creatures big and small at the Animal Shelter were able to be treated, kept warm and fed while they waited for their Forever Home.  You all are fantastic!

So as we say in each newsletter, we love what we are dong but it takes all of you make that happen for us each and every day.  Thank you for believing in us.  We wouldn’t be here without you.

In closing, we wish all of you a happy fall, Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.  And may you and your family know the true meaning of love and gratitude for each other.

Best regards from your Innkeepers,

Andy, Doug, Bob

And the kids, Gretchen, Grommit, Tony, Max, and our newest, Abbie

And last but not least, our entertainment, Uncle Phil

P.S. We will be updating our files and mailing list in the coming months.  If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, please let us know.  Please be patient as we do this.  We want to inform, not intrude and we will understand if you do not want to receive future newsletters.
