October 1, 2014

As I sit at the Main Beach parking lot watching the waves wash ashore at high tide, I find it hard to believe that we are in our second week of Fall already! Where did the summer go? It seems like each year it passes faster and faster. As far as the temperature goes, it was a very cool summer reaching only into the high 80’s. We had little rain so that was good for all our friends visiting us and our beautiful Town of Ogunquit. As always it was fun to see our friends again as we do every year and get a chance to meet new faces.

So far this fall, the days have been mild but the evening cools down quite a bit. It certainly is sweater, sweatshirt or light jacket weather here in Ogunquit Maine. As you all know, it is still a great time to visit Rockmere Lodge and escape to a much quieter time along the coast of Maine. Check our webpage, https://www.rockmere.com/, for availability (click the RESERVE ONLINE button) or call us at 207-646-2985.

Andy is putting the gardens to bed for the winter months and Bob is busy building a shed for Andy’s new snow blower that he will need this winter since shoveling is limited for him. It was a pleasure to get back to the way Rockmere Lodge was run years ago.

This winter, Andy and Bob will be putting their heads together planning the 2015 season! Andy also plans to tweak certain areas in the Inn over the winter months.

Both of us would like to thank you for all your support and well wishes. It means a lot to us. The “kids” also thank you for their treats and attention you gave them!

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook at Rockmere Lodge Bed and Breakfast or “friend” us on Rockmere Lodge to keep up to date on happenings and current photos of the area and the Inn.

Before we close this Fall Newsletter we would again like to remind you fall is a great time to visit Rockmere Lodge. Ogunquit Fest is coming October 24 & 25 this year. Also don’t forget Thanksgiving during which we will be open. And of course the first two weekends of December is the Christmas-by-the-Sea celebration in Ogunquit, Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport and The Festival of Lights in York! Fun for all! Also New Year’s Eve at Rockmere Lodge is a great time to spend some quiet time with your special someone. So plan ahead and reserve some time for yourself at Rockmere Lodge in Ogunquit, Maine. We look forward to seeing you here.

In closing, we wish you a very happy fall season and until we see you again, stay happy and healthy.

Best regards,

Andy, Bob and the “kids”
